It was close but Audi just pipped Peugeout to the post at the 79th Le Mans 24 hour endurance race.
The German Manufacturer provided plenty of intensity and drama at the weekend as their number 2 car driven by Marcel Fässler (Switzerland), André Lotterer (Germany) and Benoît Tréluyer (France) brought them to victory for the 10th time in this sport. Peugeot were keeping the pressure on just 13 seconds behind while Audi`s number 1 and number 3 cars both crashed out in spectacular fashion – thankfully drivers Allan McNish and Mike Rockenfeller were both unharmed in the incident.
