Cheers for the info on the rear brakes. It is appreciated.

To help answer the rear drums to discs question you will need the rear hubs from either an 1995 V6 mondeo or from an st24 mk2 mondeo, then just take the lower knuckles off the old drum brake and replace with the knuckles from the st24 V6 rear. the calipers will be from the rear of the V6 too. then just replace the handbrake cable with the ones from the V6 and jobs done. easy enough conversion if you know your DIY mechanics.

How difficult was it to change the drums for discs.
I am looking at doing the same to my `96 escort and would like to know what parts are needed, difficulties to overcome and time taken to complete the job.
Any help would be appreciated. email me at

Cheers.
