hi guys, i want to improve the suspension on my 05 plate 180. Also i fitted a longlife cat- back system, would you recommend a sports cat? Also my induction head is close to the radiator, could i custom a long induction pipe to fit?

Sudesh, faster 180.... derestrict the air path with a decent forced air system (bmc, dyno twist green filter, pipercross enclosed etc), lose the muffler in the midsection and have the whole exhaust resonance tuned, port and polish both the inlet and exhaust manifolds, gas flow the throttle body and head, uprate valve seats, springs and remove any carbon deposits, uprate cams (Balance motorsport are excellent), get a decent clutch (Techni Clutch was who we used) and the big one, if you do all that, get a professional ecu setup to make sure all timings are spot on and if they really know what they are doing, they can change the ESP setup and traction control/ differential settings electronically.

hi mate i also drive a 180 so much fun,i could not imagine a car like this with 350 bhp no way will that stick to tarmack on 2 wheel drive but look forward to see it done

Going to answer a few questions here. First, its not a custom HKS kit, it was an off the shelf buy. will upload part number a.s.a.p. The 406 box makes a huge difference, ever driven the 180 at top speed for a long time? Well it needs a sixth gear... and have you tried to re-ratio the box? Its basically a no-no as its more hassle than its worth. The 406 box was pretty easy to do, the main prob was the length of the shaft and gettin the linkage to `mesh` up if u excuse the pun. And finally, yes the lights will be coming out and new L.E.D smoked lights, rear fog and hi level brake light will replace the standard kit. Any more information or questions? Just ask and I`ll endevour to answer them as soon as I can.

Ross he hasnt cut the bumper out this is a gti 180 they come with the dual exhust standard so thats how it came from the factory, personaly i think you should lose the rear lexus lights and replace them with smoked LEDs much more classy!

Is that hks a custom kit? cud u put me in touch with who u got it off? if u dont mind. also how much work is it to match this 406 gearbox? and does it really make that much diffrence? or wud i jus be easier to re-ratio the standard 180. cheers

Lee, I do all my own work so it cost e nothing expect blood, sweat and tears. The box isn`t quite a straight fit, ther was some modification needed to the casing and the spindle etc to make sure it matched up. Its a 2002 box as well. The Supercharged engine has been put on hold but I`ve done a turbo upgrade (thanks HKS!) with intercooler, waste gate etc and its pushin 230BHP now, jus d problem of handlin now, I`m almost into VXR teritory with 230BHP through the front wheels.
