the engine peaked an average of 851 hp during the 3 dyno runs. it is a 496 cid (454 bored and stroked) using seasoned gen 5 block, 4-bolt mains, block line honed, parallel decked, bored and honed with bhj torque plates. block fitted with brass core plugs, durabond cam bearings, blueprinted and race balanced, arp main studs. heads: new 310cc canfield aluminum bowl blended, severe duty valves 2.250"/1.880" (isky) 1.550" dia roller springs, comp cam 10* locks, moly retainers, vto superseals, comp cam moly inner spring seats. 119cc comp guide plates with arp studs. n arp head studs -- rocker arms: scorpion aluminum roller rockers 1.7/1.7 ratio. -- cam: howards custom grind hyd. roller .640"/610" lift 234/242@ 50w/ 114 lobe separation. -- lifters: howards severe duty hyd. roller.-- push rods: comp-cams ultimate duty 080" wallcustom length.
