ENGINE MODIFICATIONS
5.7 litre ls1 chev v8 with hsv inlet manifold and fuel injectors. whiteline solid engine mounts replace the original "softies" which were worn out. an otrcai has been added and a mafless dyno tune by spiro papadimatos of autotech engineering at granville using 98 octane premium pump fuel has resulted in 246 kw (330 hp) at the rear wheels. this is equivalent to 315 kw (422 hp) at the motor. the standard vx clubsport is advertised to have 255 kw (342 hp) at the motor. dual 2 1/2" exhaust system with 4 into 1 extractors, x-force mufflers and metallic cats.
SUSPENSION MODIFICATIONS
the vxii clubsport was the first clubsport model that included a toe control link in it`s independent rear suspension.
ALLOY WHEELS
street: 18" x 8" hsv vx clubsport wheels
BRAKES
hsv premium brake system with calipers finished in holden racing team red with silver hsv logo.
EXTERIOR MODIFICATIONS
finished in phantom black with an hsv body kit that includes side skirts plus front and rear spoilers. dorian timer bracket mounted under rear skirt.
INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS
hsv clubsport with cams compliant fire extinguisher and detachable sabelt 4 point 3" race harnesses for both front seats. the harnesses are not used when the clubsport is being driven on the street. the standard retracting front lap/sash belts (which have been retained) are used then. all the standard hsv interior and functionality has been kept including air conditioning, cruise control and sound system - which makes the drive to the track very civilised!
