We all like to experience a bit of the old priviledged lifestyle and that`s why `special extras` or `editions` work so well in the automotive world - Mazda`s hoping their new Takuya extras will fit this assumption

The Takuya models are now available (as from July 1st 2010) on the Mazda2,3 and 6 and offer their buyers a whole load of extra equipment. Across the range they all get Bluetooth, electric rear windows, fog lights, leather gear shift knob, leather steering wheel, and metallic paint. Then specifically for the Mazda2 comes an aerokit, body-coloured heated electric folding side mirrors, 16-inch alloys, multi-function steering wheel, and a black sports trim. The Mazda3 gets a similar bump up and in addition 17-inch wheels, a six-CD changer, rain sensing wipers, LED lighting and dual zone automatic climate control. The Mazda6 though is deemed to have pretty much all it needs on the exterior so the focus has gone on what the driver experiences inside the cabin like trimmed heated seats and armrest, alloy pedals, automatic lights, rain sensing wipers and a dimming rear view mirror. The exterior does benefit from a new grille and 18-inch alloys though.
Pricing for the Mazda2 Takuya 1.3 five-door starts at £11,915 and for the Mazda3 Takuya 1.6 five-door its £15,780. The Mazda6 Takuya opens the bids at £19,845 for the 2.0 five-door. For more info go to www.mazda.co.uk
