The 2011 Chrysler 300 has been given an early unveiling thanks to the folks over at Motor Trend.
Decidedly more elegant than its processor, the redesigned 300 adopts Chrysler`s new grille, LED-infused headlights, and numerous chrome accents. The overall shape remains familiar, but there`s a more steeply raked windscreen, stylish new bodywork, and more prominent wheel arches.
No interior pictures were released, but the cabin boasts soft-touch plastics, wood trim, and additional sound deadening material. Furthermore, new options include heated / cooled seats, a two-piece sunroof, and a Garmin navigation system with an 8.4-inch screen.
Like the Dodge Charger, the Chrysler 300 will be available with two engines. The 3.6-liter V6 will produce 292 hp (218 kW / 296 PS) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque, while the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 will crank out 370 hp (276 kW / 375 PS) and 395 lb-ft (536 Nm). Both will be connected to a five-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels (all-wheel drive will be optional).
Chrysler will likely release official information shortly, but in the meantime head over to Motor Trend to see more pictures.
