Saab salutes GM with 9-3 Convertible Independence Edition
Saab is looking to the future under the watchful eye of Spyker and to celebrate its independence from GM it has produced this model. 366 will be made (as well as one for every day of this year, there`ll be one to mark the first of 2012). The Independence model houses a 1.9-liter diesel four engine with 180 horses and a six-speed automatic. Borrowing from the Aero model`s trim it also gets carbon-look leather on the instrument panel, levers and handles as well as parchment leather sport seats and stitching on the steering wheel. For the exterior there`s a new Amber hue and five spoke 18" alloys.
