Fumble with a Ferrari Vs a Rally Car
They say everything and everyone has a price and thus if you`re a billionaire you`re a made man. Luckily for us though we can still have a small piece of that pie courtesy of Extreme Element.

Curiosity, your alter-ego and the brain`s dopamine triggering responses are all very good reasons to try out five laps in a Subaru Impreza WRX tarmac rally car back to back with five in a Ferrari 360 Modena. Let`s face it you could spend £150 on a couple of nights out and all you could guarantee would be a jobsworth doorman making you wait in the cold for 3 hours, your best mate spewing all over your new shoes and some pretty cutting knock-backs from the fairer of the species.
Of course a Ferrari also commands some gentlemanly manners, it will happily throw you in to a ditch if you fail to straighten up its wheels before flooring it. Then again it will also be as flattering and willing as you could wish if you work with it. The instructors have no issue with you driving hell for leather as long as your skill level matches your enthusiasm and you stay in control. It has to be said that they will encourage you to get the most out of your experience and want you to come away with an ear to ear grin. Even if you`re a complete novice to the race track they have plenty of pointers that will help you get a better understanding of how the car behaves and how you can let it do a lot of the work for you.
Equally if you do track days reguarly but don`t often get your hands on something as refined and powerful as a Ferrari 360 Modena, you`ll be pleasantly rewarded with its nimble ability to skate around corners on a knife edge. Its kart-like driving position and 450 horses also make accelerating a game you will never tire of. Sadly your track time does go too quickly so if you`re not already a regular at your local karting track I`d book in a few sessions prior to your Ferrari Vs Rally Experience. It should help prepare you so you can spend more time enjoying the car and less time trying to iron out shoddy gear changes or irratic maneuvers.
Driving the Subaru Impreza WRX Tarmac Rally car prior to the Ferrari is aimed to ease you in to the experience albeit in an intense manner. Being 4WD the grip is incredible and its easy to see why its made heroes out of the likes of Colin McRae and Petta Solberg. Though handbrake turns are off limits on a shared circuit, the WRX`s cannonball performance is entirely at your disposal.
As Extreme Element knows only too well once you get a taste for track days you only want more. They have lots more; more tracks, more time, more cars and a range of varied experiences. The next one I want to try is the half day rally which they also put on at the Chipping Norton Circuit. I`d be tempted to go back to this rustic venue as its small and friendly, you don`t feel rushed away and the instructors are very down to earth.
