Pikes Peak Porsche 911 GT2 sets new record
Diziness was the least of his worries as Jeff Zwaft tackled 156 corners at an altitude of up to 4,600 metres. Writing history was his aim and he managed to shave 24 seconds off the street homologated sports cars record as he shot around the 20 kilometre Pikes Peak route in Colorado on the 26th June this year. The 620 hp Porsche 911 GT2 RS was a loyal accomplice and clearly Zwart was well aquainted with it since driving from Porsche Motorsport in California some 1,770 kilometres to the start line.
