FIVE-STAR-OPEL-Astra J by Senner Tuning
Opel`s current interpretation of the compact car was presented at the IAA 2009 and goes by the name of Astra J which special feature is its rear suspension in the form of a torsion beam axle with an additional watt linkage (to accommodate the laterally acting forces and, thus, to optimize the elasticity). Incidentally, the Astra J got five stars in the course of the Euro NCAP crash test 2009. The above-mentioned concerns а 1.4-liter turbocharged version which comes with the standard figures of 103 kW/140 hp as well as 200 Nm of the maximum torque. The Senner AG crew from Ingelheim situated in Rheinland-Pfalz and their leader Benno Senner have buttoned up this Opel to open its positive sides. Besides a matte black Steinmetz front grille, the car features a roof spoiler, a one-off production for the sport version. In addition, there is a front spoiler lip with a sword, a set of side shafts in two-color design and a rear skirt insert. The latter three are carbon-look, adequate ingredients from the House of Rieger aimed at the improvement of the aerodynamics. The automobile disposes a built-in wheel-tire combination, ecstasy rims by Alutec (8x19 inch) and tires by Vredestein of the Ultrac Sessanta type with 235/35R19 dimensions. In this respect, it is also undoubtedly notable that the car has the automobile Inox-line running gear of the second kind with adjustable rebound damping and adjustable ride height on application and customer requirements. The engine control system was adapted by SENNER, and the BMC sport air filter with the desired effect was additionally implanted. Therefore, at least 121 kW or 165 hp as well as 250 Nm are available. The stainless steel muffler with a 140x90 mm pipe on the right and left side is custom made. Furthermore, there is a power converter – tuning for the electric acceleration pedal. In addition an alarm system has been installed. Both the tint of the rear wheels and the brake calipers painted in red serve undoubtedly as eye catchers. All in all, this conversion costs approximately € 11 900.
