Despite the crystallised chrome accents, dual exhaust, spoiler, 20" alloys and LED-infused headlights no self-respecting motoring enthusiast is going to be boasting about this purchase. The 2.4-liter Earth Dreams four-cylinder gives you 181 hp and 240 Nm of torque and the Plug-in Hybrid 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine musters up 161 hp with the help of its electric motor, 6 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT). You can get to the local shops on electricity alone even if it is via a dual carriageway (15 miles at 62 mph). Then you will have to charge it for four hours (120V outlet) or one and a half if you have a 240V outlet available. The Honda Accord Coupe will go on sale in the States this Autumn.
