EXTERIOR MODIFICATIONS
the interior, which came out of an "s" fiesta, is still in very good condition after all these years. there are also two rare blue carpeted factory mats with the word "fiesta" on them.
i have installed many unlabeled switches and buttons into the dash and cowling. they do several different things, like momentarily interrupting the brake light circuit (in order to bleed-off some excessive speed past a cop without lighting the brake lights, or for strobing the brake lights to gain attention). one switch allows you to turn on the high intensity white led reverse lights (the shifter no longer turns on the reverse lights, so they can be turned on even when going forward). the rear window sprayer has been modified to spray tailgators with washer fluid, although i never do that. other switches turn on the instrumentation lighting individually and also the security "armed" indicator led. all switches have been placed in an easy to see and reach location.
INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS
in 1991, the engine was bored .030 over and lovingly rebuilt using fiesta xr2 9.2 pistons, xr2 cam, all new main bearings, xr2 cyl head with hardened exhaust seats and a bat aluminum valve cover, xr2 carb with foam itg air filter, a bosch full advance distributor with accel 9.9 solid-core racing ignition wires, xr2 intake, 4-2-1-header which was sandblasted when new and painted with stainless steel paint, a 2" race exhaust with a glass pack muffler, a mocal 10 row oil cooler with thermostatic control plate, a new oil pump, a newer radiator (in 2000), a new metal water pipe, a new heater core, and a fomoto oil drain ball valve on the oil pan (for quick oil changes without a wrench).
