2009 Audi A7 Concept

Audi A7 looks set to be with us by 2010

The Germans are all at it - building spacious, luxurious coupes that is; from the Mercedes Benz CLS Class to the Porche Panamera, VW Passat Coupe and BMW CS concept. Sweeping roof lines, sporty looks, more efficient engines and no compromises with headroom. Audi's take on this brief is an A7 coupe which should be rolling out of factories by 2010.



 It will be based on the platform of the A6 and feature the new characteristic looks of the A5 like the trademark headlights made popular by the premium R8. The design sketches featured here are the work of Gabriel Rabhi and are his interpretation of how the 2010 Coupe may look. Audi are expected to show off the actual model at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009. The engine choices will probably replicate the A6 with popular choices being the 3.2-litre V6 capable of 255bhp and the 4.2-litre V8 with 350bhp. Following current trends, an S7 will follow at a later date and is likely to sport the 435bhp V10 powerplant shared by Lamborghini (Audi's top end sister brand).
