There`s also a new bonnet with large air outlets and an exhaust system with electronic sound management and two polished or black-coated 105-mm tailpipes. The chassis is improved by a hydraulically height-adjustable coil-over suspension while the rims are 21" Novitec NM4 items with five delicate twin spokes. Next month`s Goodwood Festival of Speed is the chosen occasion for the UK launch of Toyota Racing Developments Griffon Project. This pure-bred racer is based on Toyota`s multi-award winning sports coupe and features a strengthened chassis as well as TRD accessories. The Griffin Project version uses carbon fibre for its bonnet, roof, doors, boot lid and rear wings while carbonfibre reinforced plastic is the chosen material for the bumpers, wider front wings and rear diffuser. Furthermore all the windows are now made from polycarbonate material instead of glass. Inside the cabin there`s race adaptions such as a TRD driver’s bucket seat, gear shift knob, ignition button and oil pressure and water temperature gauges. There is also a Momo steering wheel and Takata seatbelts. Other additions include a coilover suspension, Mechanical limited-slip differential and a final gear ratio shortened to 4.8:1. Performance upgrades include an oil cooler for the engine and a TRD mono block brake calliper kit with racing spec brake pads. The 2.0-litre normally aspirated `boxer` engine remains while there`s TWS 18-inch wheels wrapped in Yokohama Advan tyres.
